L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive in Cheryl's & J-Lo's Nude £6.99 each - Boots
L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds in Blake's Red, £6.99 Boots
L'oreal came out with their first range of Collection Exclusive lipsticks in 2013 which contained six different nude shades suited to the celebrity ambassadors skin tones. The Celebrities from the first range are Doutzen Kroes, Eva Longoria, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (Formerly Cole) Freida Pinto, Liya Kebede and Julianne Moore and the colours would be tailored to suit their skin tones and marketed so that customers and potentional buyers with similar skin tones could buy their "perfect nude" or just buy the nude shade of the celebrity they most liked.
L'oreal then came out with another range of Collection Exclusive lipsticks called Pure Reds, with the same kind of idea, find your perfect red by choosing the celebrity with a similar skin tone, or buy whichever ones you like - obviously that's a choice too.
Moving on to the lipsticks I bought, I got Cheryl's & J-Lo's nudes from the Privee colletion and Blake's Red from the Pure Red's collection. The two nude lipsticks are really creamy on the lips and have a glossy and quite sheer finish whilst Blake's Red lipstick has a matte finish but is still quite creamy on the lips, it's not so matte to the point that it's drying on your lips though, which is good and it's very pigmented. See the swatches below (Top - Bottom J-Lo's nude, Blake's red, Cheryls nude.)
As you can see from the swatches the two nudes aren't very dissimilar, the only differences being that J-Lo's is more opaque than Cheryl's, which Cheryl's being a lot more sheer and has reflective glitter in it, This give the effect or well moisturised and plumper lips.
Blake's red is a very true red, suiting her skin tone and hair colour perfectly. The lipstick is quite a blue based red but it's coming off quite pinky on camera, it really is a stunning colour and I would definitely check it out if you're a fan of Ruby Woo.
These lipsticks are really nice and the wear of them is good enough for £6.99, they last around 3-4 hours on the lips whilst eating/drinking, the colour range isn't spectacular but they are a range of lipsticks dedicated to being nude and being red so in that respect, the range is pretty good actually.
That was a bit of a ramble!
Have you tried any of these colours of any of the other colours from the range? What do you think of them and which one is your favourite? Let me know! Leave you thoughts below.
