12 Days of Beauty: Day 7 - EOS Lipbalm

12 Days of beauty is an on going series, one post per day, of my favourite (and a few not so favourite) beauty products from 2014. It's in no particular order. It will go on from 25th December till 5th January - coinciding with the 12 days of Christmas!

If you would like to read my full review of the EOS Lipblam, please click here.

I'd seem EOS everywhere, I've always wanted one, what made it even more enticing was the fact they're not readily available in the UK. So when I went to Manchester Selfridges and saw them I pounced on this one and I haven't looked back since. No regrets.

You can read my full of Benefit Hoola here, if you would like to view that first!

Benefit Hoola has been on my list forever, it's described as the perfect "shadow" bronzer for paler people but can also work on many other skin tones. Being of the pale girl club, I decided it was a must for me to try as my Sleek bronzing kit was starting to turn me a little orange during this colder (and paler) months.

I've only recently discovered the L'oreal Nail Lacquers, I never really took a second look at them or heard any reviews about them. One shopping trip to Boots I was on the hunt for a deep wine/burgundy nail colour and saw L'oreal 409 Hypnotic Red and it was the perfect colour I'd been searching for.

Makeup Geek shadows seem to be quite the thing amongst American YouTubers so I decided to delve into the realm of MUG myself and see what all the fuss was about.

I have always stuck to my MaxFactor FaceFinity when it comes to drugstore/highstreet foundations but this year, when I went to Boots and saw my tried and true was sold out, I moved on to the Revlon stand and saw the Colorstay foundation and I can't believe I haven't tried it before.

I'd never ventured far into the Estee Lauder cosmetic range other than Double Wear foundation, so when I was buying my usual Double Wear I decided I buy another item to qualify for the gift with purchase and you can't go far wrong with a coral blush!

REVIEW // Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tannning Mousse

Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter: 1 Hour Tanning Mousse £7.99, Superdrug

As a pale girl, tanning is something I don't usually do and if I do feel adventurous and fancy a tan then I usually stick to St Moriz as I know it works and it's dead cheap. However, after seeing rave reviews about Marissa Carters Cocoa Brown tan I decided to pop into Superdrug and pick up a bottle and see how it went.

Fragrance of the Week // Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau De Parfum 50ml £62, Debenhams

For a few years now I have barely strayed away from my one true love in a fragrance bottle which is Marc Jacobs Daisy, the original. I have used four 100ml bottles of that particular fragrance in the last two years. Recently I've wanted to branch out and get a few more scents and to start a collection so next on my list was Yve Saint Laurent Black Opium.

LIFE // A Weekend exploring the Capital & Places to visit in London.

London is a city I've always wanted to visit but never really got around to. I went there in 2013 to see One Direction but never really got to sight see and be a tourist, I just mainly went shopping and then got the tube to North Greenwich to see the concert, but this month I went there for the weekend and really got to look around and take it in.

Hola Señorita!

If you follow me on Instagram, which you should here's a link, then you'll see that I very recently, as in a few hours ago, bought a pleather A-line skirt (pictured above) which I am beyond in love with. I bought it after seeing it on Emma AKA Milkteef's Instagram after she said she found the perfect skirt after searching and since I myself was searching for a pleather skirt I thought i'd pop into River Island and see if I'd be so lucky and to my joy, I was!

Simple Clean Skin Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash 150ml, £4.29 - Boots // Simple Clean Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub 75ml, £3.99 - Boots

I'm not afraid to admit that skincare isn't the highlight of my life. In fact I find it quite boring but I do appreciate a good clean, soft and well cleansed face. With these products, here's how I achieve clear skin.

REVIEW // Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & Conditioner

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo &  Conditioner 400ml £3.89 each, Boots.

Hair is something that is very important to me. Having spent the last 3 years bleaching, dying, burning (with heat tools, not fire...) and generally mistreating my hair without a second thought, it has to be important. Unless I want to go bald of course!

Products: Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & Conditioner £2.79 each - Boots // OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil £6.99 - Boots //  L'oreal Paris Studio Line Hot Straight Heat Protecting Spray £3.69 &  Hot & Smooth Cream £3.75 - Boots // Denman Paddle Brush £10 - Boots // Tangle Teezer (Orange) £10.99 - Boots.

I recently wrote a haircare routine, when I say recently I mean at some point this year, which I guess is pretty recent. If you'd like to read that and see which products have changed (basically all of them!) then click here. I thought I'd update it as a few things have changed within my routine and my hair has been showing some signs of repair and growth which for me is brilliant as my hair is the "grow to the shoulders and stop" type. So i'll get into how this routine has helped me and hopefully it may help some of you!

Yankee Candle holder (Bottom Right) £7, Asda // Wicker Heart Cut Out Candle Holder (Bottom Left) £4, Homebase // Yankee 6 Candle Set £6, Asda.

No matter the time of year I love candles, I always love to burn them but during the warmer months it's just not an option when you're already sweating. During the colder months I like to take full advantage of being able to burn them all day long and I'm especially loving the Christmas sets and candle holders that have come into store.

I haven't really been experimenting with new makeup this month, I've been trying to rediscover old and forgotten things at the bottom of my draws, so the favourites this month are few but definitely not boring.

Sunday Summary #22

To say that I am well and truly in the mood for winter is an understatement, payday has come and gone and I've purchased lots of tights, socks, fluffy pjs, a new coat and some winter boots. I've also stocked up on candles, slipper and cute candle holders!

REVIEW // EOS Lipbalm in Summer Fruits

I've wanted to try EOS lip balms for ages but was gutted I could only get them from amazing. I remember spotting the "Balmi" lip balms in Boots and wanting one so bad but never purchasing one because they just weren't as appealing in their square packaging, sounds weird right? Aesthetic of a product is pretty important to me, if it doesn't look appealing I'm instantly put off.

I visited Selfridges in the Trafford Centre and saw they had EOS balms and without even thinking I picked on up and took it straight to the counter.

REVIEW // Revlon Color Stay Foundation in Ivory

Revlon Color Stay 24hr Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory - £12.99, Boots

Having oily skin is a bit of a problem for me, I like to skimp on products in my routine, using barely anything to get ready, but having skin that resembles the bottom of a frying pan I can't really skimp since I need sitting powder, primer, eye shadow primer and so on for my makeup to stay well. I've found that buying products suited to you skin type makes a HUGE difference, it's a no brainer, right? My latest find is Revlon Color Stay Foundation and here's why I think it deserves a review.

Makeup Mondays: Soft Browns and Bright Reds

Red lips are definitely my favourite colour lips to wear any time of the year, yet I always feel over dressed when I wear them, no matter how toned down my makeup is.

During Autumn and Winter I feel it's a little easier to get away with them without coming off too "dressed up." So that's what I did! I wore my favourite lipstick on a regular day and I loved it.

MAC Myth Satin Lipstick , £15.50 - Maccosmetics.co.uk / debenhams.com

Every girl needs that go to nude lip, the fail safe for when you want something very subtle on the lips, but something a little extra that looks like you've put some effort into it. The nude lip is perfect for this.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde - £15.50, Cultbeauty.com

The Brows are well and truly having their hayday right now, everyone seems to be a fan of natural, full, well shaped and groomed brows and rightly so. The brow is, to me, one of the more important parts of my makeup and I wouldn't dare go out without them done, if I'm wearing makeup and this product has been my go to for many reasons...
